Advancing Independent Research and Dialogue on Human and Artificial Intelligence

A developing platform guided by careful research, transparent reasoning, and respectful discussion.

About the Ecosystem of Intelligence

Independent inquiry into how humans and artificial intelligence meet.

Humans are no longer the only systems doing the work we call intelligence. That work is increasingly shared across people and the artificial systems they build, question, rely on, and work beside, and this shared territory is changing faster than our understanding of it. Much of what is said about it arrives already decided: AI will save us, AI will end us, AI is only a tool, AI is just like us.

The Ecosystem of Intelligence starts from a different premise. The relationship between human and artificial intelligence is not yet understood, and it deserves to be studied before it is declared.

WHAT WE DO

We examine that relationship as it actually unfolds: what works, what fails, what creates value, what creates risk, and what remains unknown. That means close reading of primary sources, original analysis, carefully designed proposals for experiments, and a community where careful questions count for more than confident answers.

HOW WE WORK

We separate what is established from what is inferred, and both from what is speculation. We cite our sources. We publish our limitations alongside our conclusions, and we correct our errors in the open. We welcome disagreement, including disagreement with us. No one here is required to hold a single position on what artificial intelligence is or should become.

WHY "ECOSYSTEM"

An ecosystem is neither a single organism nor a machine. It is many distinct participants, each shaping the others through interaction without becoming one another. We think that is the most honest frame available. Humans and artificial systems are different from one another, and the questions worth asking live in how they meet.

OUR OWN PRACTICE

This project is built in collaboration with AI systems, and we say so. When AI contributes to our work, we disclose which systems were used, what they did, and who takes responsibility for what we publish. We hold ourselves to the standard we ask of others.

OUR DIRECTION

This is an early-stage project built in public, piece by piece: research, analysis, open challenge, institutional publications and a growing contributor community built on human and AI collaboration. If this is the kind of inquiry you've been looking for... join us.

Our Guiding Principles

Our core values are intellectual honesty, epistemic humility, human agency, transparency, and open inquiry. Together they embody our commitment to fostering a safe and respectful exploration of intelligence.

Intellectual Honesty

We prioritize truthfulness, acknowledging limitations and uncertainties in all our work.

Epistemic Humility

We embrace openness to new evidence and diverse viewpoints, fostering continual learning.

Human Agency

We affirm the essential role of human judgment and responsibility in the evolving intelligence landscape.

Transparency

We disclose all of our sources, methods, and AI involvement, making our reasoning open to scrutiny.

Open Inquiry

We welcome disagreement and competing explanations, keeping unsettled questions genuinely open.
